  Humor Is a Serious Thing

Life abounds with funny, amusing things…

Life abounds with grief and pain…

But in fact, this world – our environment – is completely indifferent to us. It is only our choice what to see in the world and to take from it and accept for our life. God sends us different kinds of problems and troubles, but He gave us a gift of laughing as well. The role of humor in our world is to challenge all the difficulties happening through our lifetime.

Probably, that’s why I am endowed with such reach reserves of sense of humor.

The humor has always helped me survive in the world. Even when Life was loosing its sense, the sense of humor continued to live and saved my life. So I started to realize that the sense of Life was Humor. Thus, humor taught me to view Life philosophically and accept it as it is.

In my view of Life, humor became an indicator of high intellect. (An intelligent, witty man is my weakness, so my friends say: that’s why you are single.J) I think, the people, who have a good sense of humor are tolerant, peaceful, compassionate and optimistic, they never panic; therefore, they are able to overcome any challenges.

Humor helps me to make friends easily any time and anywhere. I have never lacked them, but in order to make friendships, humor has led me through “school of restraint”. (Тhe first lessons, I got at my middle school, where there was no week, in which I didn’t have a chance to wander along the school corridors kicked out from my classroom  - such was one kind of punishment for my ‘wit’.) Some Russian poet said, “We can’t foresee how our word will echo in the people”. So, I always ask during my confession, “Forgive me, if I offended someone mistakenly or in restraint.”

God bless a good witty joke – it helps us to bear the routine of interminable drudgery of Life.

Long live the people who have a good sense of humor – they turn the World to look at us with its joyful, cheerful and, therefore viable and valuable face, which is worth of our being in it.

If I didn’t sing Humor’s praises, you may tear my scribble and throw it out!
